The following promotions are running at this season's Canberra Raiders home matches at Canberra Stadium:
BARTERCARD BIKE
During the half time break of each of the Toyota Cup matches at Canberra Stadium (i.e. about 1½ before main game kickoff) the Raiders Ground Announcer will appear on camera sitting in the crowd with a randomly selected Club Member (NB: Child).
This member will be told that they have been selected as a finalist in the end of season draw to win a motorised Bartercard Bike at the last Raiders home game of the season.
For being selected at the specific match the successful member will receive a promotional pack from Bartercard and details about the final prize draw.
Given that there are 12 home matches during the season, 12 members will be selected as finalists to go into the final draw. The grand prize winner will be announced on camera during the ½ time break at the Raiders last home game against the Bulldogs (i.e. 5-8 September 2008).
SUPABARN SUPERMARKETS
During the half time break of each of the Toyota Cup matches at Canberra Stadium (i.e. about 1½ before main game kickoff) the Raiders Ground Announcer will appear on camera sitting in the crowd with a randomly selected Club Member (NB: Adult).
This member will be told that they have been selected as a finalist in today’s on-field pass the ball challenge during half time of the main game. This is their chance to win a certain amount of groceries for the week.
Down on the field at half time the member will pass three balls at a target which has monetary values on it. Each time accrues dollars with the total of the 3 throws equating to what the person receives.
$25 CROWD FOOTBALLS
At the start of each NRL home game Victor the Viking will disperse 17 branded footballs into the crowd. Not only do these footballs serve as a nice keepsake from your attendance at the match but they double as a $25 gift voucher redeemable back in the Bing Lee Fyshwick store.
SunSmart AWARENESS & BUCKET HAT IDENTIFICATION
In 2008 the Raiders are committed to raising awareness of Skin Cancer and promoting SunSmart prevention initiatives and at each home game a ‘Raiders SunSmart Tip of the Week” will be shown to the attending crowd on the Big Screen.
Additionally, whenever the team plays during the day (i.e. at a 2pm or 3pm Sunday timeslot) the Club will randomly select a person from the crowd during the day who is wearing a bucket hat and that person will win a Raiders prize pack including Drink Bottle, Green Zinc, Raiders Bucket Hat and a pair of sunglasses.
