Canberra Raiders players and staff have met with ASADA Officials today at Raiders HQ, for a briefing session regarding the recent ACC report and upcoming ASADA investigations.
The ASADA Officials were invited by the Raiders to come and brief the playing group on the processes of their investigations and to take questions from players and staff.
Raiders CEO Don Furner said it was important for the club and the players to work with ASADA and fully supported the investigation.
“We invited ASADA officials to come and speak to the playing group and coaching staff today in order to give them a clearer picture of the processes and undertakings of their investigation,” Furner said. “It was a chance for players and staff to ask any questions they may have and help them understand the process and purpose of the investigation.”
“The Raiders fully support the work ASADA is undertaking in regards to the issue of performance enhancing drugs in our sport.
“We also understand the investigation will take time however we hope for a swift resolution for our members, sponsors and supporters.”
