NYC: CANBERRA RAIDERS V GOLD COAST TITANS

SUNDAY JULY 13, 11.45AM, CBUS SUPER STADIUM

*The match will be televised live on Foxsports 1

Raiders NYC Coach Mick Mantelli has named a strong side for the clash with the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday at Cbus Super Stadium.

After experimenting with Ricky Garard at fullback for the majority of the year, Mantelli has selected the talented utility at hooker for the clash with the Titans, where the Mittagong Lions junior's speed and attacking ingenuity could prove highly fruitful for the Green Machine.

Garard's shift to hooker enables Andrew Heffernan to showcase his prodigious wares in the number one jersey. Heffernan had started the year in the halves but was unfortunately struck down by injury when he was starting to find his feet.

With Matthew Frawley and Queensland Under 18's representative Lachlan Lewis now settled in the halves, Heffernan will be able to concentrate on his scything running game.

In other team changes, hard working back-rower / centre Jared McIlwrick returns from injury and takes his place on the interchange bench.

Currently four points outside of the top eight in 12th place, the Raiders will look to continue their push towards reclaiming their place among the other semi-final aspirants.

Gold Coas are coming 15th on the ladder and were previosuly defeated by the Raiders 44-22 in Round 3.

The full team line-up is:

1.      Andrew Heffernan
