The Raiders have missed the finals of the 2015 Auckland Nines after going down 38-13 against the Titans in their final pool match at Eden Park.

The Raiders faced an uphill battle before kick-Off as they needed a 20 point win to make it through to the finals, thanks to a big win by the Warriors in the match before.

The Titans scored in the opening minute when Josh Hoffman sliced his way through the defence to score, with the conversion giving them an early 6-0 lead.

Sisa Waqa brought it level when he made another strong bust to score a great solo try and when Jack Ahearn converted it was 6-6.

Any chance of the Raiders getting the points they needed to go through evaporated with back to back tries to James Roberts before halftime as the Titans led 17-6 at the break.

Tries to Titans Hazard and Faifai Loa gave them a 27-6 lead, with Mitch Cornish scoring a consolation try to bring it back to 27-13 after he converted his own bonus zone effort.

The Titans ran away with the match in the end scoring two more tries to end the match comfortable winners 38-13.
