Raiders halfback Sam Williams has deflected any personal praise delivered to himself after the win over the Sea Eagles, instead the Cooma Stallions junior highlighted the effective contribution of the side's forwards.
Williams' tactical kicking game, swift passing and organisational ability were instrumental in the Green Machine's 29-16 victory over Manly, and as such drew resounding applause.
However, Williams believes that he would not have been able to play as well as he did without the work the forwards did in the middle of the field.
Canberra's forwards consistently rolled down field with ease, enabling Williams the time and space to direct the ball wherever he wanted.
