The Raiders put up a tough fight, but eventually bowed out of the 2016 Auckland Nines in a 16-8 loss to the Warriors.

The Warriors were dominant in the first half, reeling off three tries to take the lead into the half-time break.

The second half didn't start much better for the Raiders, with an unlucky bounce wrong-footing Zac Santo and letting the Warriors extend their lead to 16.

A flash of brilliance by Kurt Baptiste finally got the Raiders on the scoreboard, as he sent Zac Santo away on a long-range try effort. A super effort by Jordan Rapana got the Raiders their second, when he latched onto a kick and was able to find space in the corner.

Unfortunately time didn't allow the Raiders any further chance of mounting a comeback.
