The Raiders are on the road for the second week running when they take on the Parramatta Eels at Pirtek Stadium on Saturday.

The Green Machine are sitting in third place on the ladder after their win against the Bulldogs on Monday night, with the Eels in eighth place.

Raiders’ second rower Elliot Whitehead is looking forward to playing the Eels who will be looking to bounce back from a last-minute loss Penrith last Sunday.

“They’ll want to get back to winning ways and they’ll want to put a good performance in again, but hopefully we can go there and just get the job done.”

Despite the short turnaround between the matches for the Raiders, the English second-rower isn’t concerned.

“We’ve got some good staff here and they look after us. We’re not worried about the five-day turnaround.”

The Raiders returned from Sydney on Monday night, and will travel up the Federal Highway again on Friday.

Halves duo, Sezer and Austin, impressed in their return from injury against the Bulldogs on Monday. Despite playing well, Sezer insists their combination is still a work in progress.

“We’ve only played two games together so it’s still a work in progress. [We’ll] keep putting the hours together on the training paddock and hopefully that chemistry improves,” said Sezer.

The battle betweens the Eels and Raiders halves is set to be a pivotal aspect of the game, with Kieran Foran and Corey Norman both in tremendous form.
