The first abbreviated round for 2016 wasn't short of action as a host of Dragons and Bulldogs dominated with individual performances. This is NRL.com's Team of the Week for Round 12.

1. Jason Nightingale (Dragons)

Nightingale's first game at fullback in three years would be one to remember considering his try-scoring effort in the Dragons' four-point win over reigning premiers North Queensland.

2. Josh Addo-Carr (Wests Tigers)

The Wests Tigers young gun scored a try and ran for 172 metres in his side's one-point upset win over the Broncos.

3. Nathan Ross (Knights)

Scored one try and almost secured his team the win in the final two minutes with a second in the Knights' 20-18 loss to Parramatta. Also made over 200 metres and nine tackle breaks.

4. Joey Leilua (Raiders)

Leilua is one of – if not the – form centres in the competition currently. Against the Bulldogs he produced a try, six tackle breaks and a try assist.

5. Semi Radradra (Eels)

Gave as good as he copped from opposite Fijian flyer Akuila Uate but ultimately ended the Eels' win over Newcastle with a try and nine tackle breaks.

6. Gareth Widdop (Dragons)

Afforded more space than usual upon halves partner Benji Marshall's return and duly repaid his team with a starring performance.

7. Moses Mbye (Bulldogs)

Mbye's two try assists and try played a huge role in the Bulldogs' solid first-half showing against the Raiders.

8. Russell Packer (Dragons)

Packer made 130 metres and 31 tackles in perhaps his best game in the Red V jumper so far.

9. Mitch Rein (Dragons)

The Dragons rake left Josh McCrone sat on the bench for the entire game thanks to his 57-tackle effort against the Cowboys.

10. Aiden Tolman (Bulldogs)

It's little surprise Tolman scored a try and made bang on 200 metres considering he played the entire 80 in the front row for the Bulldogs.

11. Joe Tapine (Raiders)

Tapine's handy footwork saw him score two tries in the Raiders' 12-point win over the Bulldogs.

12. Greg Eastwood (Bulldogs)

Eastwood's move to the second row continues to pay dividends after he produced over 200 metres and five offloads against Canberra.

13. Elijah Taylor (c, Wests Tigers)

Taylor's move to the Tigers has worked out handsomely for the New Zealand international. Taylor was Man of the Match for the second week in a row and was the best player across the weekend.

Interchange

14. Tyson Frizell (Dragons)

Frizell responded to his State of Origin dumping in a big way against the Cowboys, particularly defensively (38 tackles for one miss).

15. James Graham (Bulldogs)

Graham's 188 metres and 42 tackle encapsulates that the Bulldogs' 12-point loss to the Raiders wasn't a fair reflection of the game that was.

16. Manu Ma’u (Eels)

Ma'u made over 120 metres and produced a try assist for his troubles in the Eels' win in Newcastle.

17. Jahrome Hughes (Cowboys)

Hughes looked like a seasoned veteran with seven tackle breaks and a try despite playing in his first NRL game since 2013.
