Queanbeyan Kangaroos 28 defeated West Belconnen Warriors 22

Queanbeyan Kangaroos have cemented their spot near the top of the Austbrokers Canberra Raiders Cup ladder with a tight win over the West Belconnen Warriors.

Five-eighth Brent Crisp led the way for the Kangaroos with a try and four goals in the six-point victory. It was the sixth win in a row for the Kangaroos, who have well and truly recovered well from a blowout loss in their first game of the season.

The Kangaroos sit in second place on the ladder, equal on points with the ladder-leading Queanbeyan Blues. West Belconnen stay in third place after the Gungahlin Bulls missed an opportunity to move past them with a win on the weekend.

Woden Valley Rams 34 defeated Gungahlin Bulls 26

Woden Valley Rams turned in their best performance of the season on Saturday, upsetting the more fancied Gungahlin Bulls 34-26.

With six different try scorers, the Rams emphatically snapped a six-game losiing streak that had seen them not collect any points since winning their first two games of the season.

The encouraging performances moves the Rams up to sixth place on the ladder, while the Bulls stay in fourth place.
