What a painful week that was? No Raiders game and Queensland wrapped up the Origin series. The stuff of nightmares!

Although a big congratulations to our very own Josh Papalii. He has carried himself very well for the Queensland side throughout the series and was absolutely devastating in game 2.

Off the bench, he carried the ball with purpose, constantly pushing back the New South Wales defensive line, and he was equally damaging in defence.

He deserves his success and no doubt he’ll be proud to look back and say he was a part of an unheralded era of Queensland dominance.

Good news for Raiders New South Wales fans is we can truly put our hand up and say, ‘not the Raiders fault’.

Perhaps with a bit of Raiders representation in that sky blue jersey, it may have been a different story.

But, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. The silver lining for the green machine is, without a whole lot of origin representation, our boys should be rested and ready for a big game this weekend.

And what a big weekend it is?! It’s time to get some revenge on the Gold Coast Titans!

No doubt, many a Raiders fans can easily recall the nightmare that was round 4 at GIO Stadium.

Up 20-6 against the Titans, the final 15 minutes was a disaster. Old mate David Shillington crashes over, followed by Zeb Taia less than 10 minutes later. The final blow, four minutes later was the controversial try of John Olive. It sealed a comeback for the Titans that still gets the blood boiling a little.

And that, Raiders fans, is the pain for which we are seeking revenge.

Aside from getting one back on the Titans though, it’s an incredibly important game for the Raiders.

The race for the top 8 is very much alive and well, with our boys sitting in 7th, and our opponents in 8th.

A loss here, would not only see the Titans leapfrog the Raiders on the ladder but it could see us bungled out of the top 8 altogether.

A win though, would see us keep our spot in the top 8, and provide a good launch pad for what comes next.

With a string of games coming up against top 8 sides, it’s important we start that period with some good momentum.

So fire up Raiders and fire up Raiders fans! The race to the finish line begins now.

Let’s head up to Kuta, I mean the Gold Coast, and nab those vital 2 points!

If you can get to the game, make plenty of noise, and if not, find yourself a great spot to watch the game and send through those good vibes.

It’s an important game and we need your help! Go Raiders!!!
