Having won three of their last four games, the Raiders NYC team host the Knights on Sunday boosted by the inclusion of Lachlan Croker.

After starring in the Raiders win over the Panthers in round one, the Junior Kangaroo has been plying his trade for the Mounties in the NSW Cup. However, with the Mounties having the bye this week, Croker slots into Brett White’s side at the expense of Zeik Foster.

NYC Head Coach Brett White said the half had improved a lot this season, especially in defence.

“Obviously, he’ll give the boys a real confidence boost. Coming back, he’ll bring that quality; he’s improved this year week in, week out. He’s improved up at Mounties and it’ll be great to see him come back with the boys. I know all the boys are really excited about him coming back,” said White.

Emre Guler is named 18th man for the clash against the Knights after joining up with the team this week from South Sydney. Having starred for NSW in U18's Origin last week, the forward is a chance to make his debut for the Raiders U20 side this weekend.

Although White was pleased by the character shown by his side in their come from behind win against the Titans, the coach has identified where the team needs to improve.

“The ten minute period after halftime where we lost our way, just working on that. We just need to keep working away.”

The Knights are coming off the back of a 24-18 win against the Warriors and currently sit in 8th place.

The Raiders are placed 12th on the ladder but are only three points behind this week’s opponent. A win this weekend will be a significant boost for Canberra’s chances of finishing in the top eight - a task that appeared out of reach a month ago.

The NYC clash is first up on Sunday morning at 11.45am. The match is live on Fox Sports Channel 501 and live updates will be on the Raiders Twitter
