Our regular From the Stands Author Russell Ayers couldn’t pen an article for us this week, as he was busy welcoming his first child Teddy into the world, so we decided to contact a few random members instead to see what they thought of the season so far!

John (Bay 56) – I absolutely love the way the boys are playing so far this year. Ricky’s got them firing and scoring plenty of points which is what the fans want to see. If we can tighten up our defence and play for more than 50-60 minutes I reckon we can give the comp a huge shake.

Samantha (Bay 68) – The best part of the season so far is watching what Jordan Rapana and Joey Leilua have been doing! Not only are they scoring tries and terrorising the opposition, I reckon Jordy’s a show in for the best looking guy in the team as well.

Graham (Bay 10) – In between screaming at the referees and lining up for a pie and chips, I’ve been really happy with the way things are going so far. Sure we could have won a few more games (bloody referees), but I think this team has a huge chance of making a good run in September.

Simon (GA Tickets) – Like most Raiders fans I never get too excited at halfway through the season as I’m always worried we might be on the slide. But with the way we’re playing and the additions of guys like Junior Paulo and Joe Tapine it feels different. Let’s get through the winter now and come out in spring and show the NRL we mean business!

Kellie (Bay 57) – Green, Green, Green! How good is it to go to work on a Monday with your Raiders scarf and proudly parade around the office. For years I’ve been copping it from my Rooster and Rabbitohs workmates about being below the top eight but now I can give it back. Go the Green Machine!

Damian (Bay 11) – We can do it! It’s something I’ve been saying for 20 years but now I’m starting to believe it. With Austo, Hodgo and Crokes starting to develop into genuine stars I think we could see a huge chance of a premiership in the next few years, bring it on!

FIVE THINGS WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE AT RAIDERS V KNIGHTS
