The two Queanbeyan teams now occupy the top of the Austbrokers Canberra Raiders Cup ladder after the Bulls pulled off a big upset in defeating the Warriors.

Gungahlin Bulls 24 defeated West Belconnen Warriors 18

The Warriors lost their grip on second spot on the ladder after going down to the Bulls 24-18 in a big upset.

After racing out to an early lead, ill-discipline by the Bulls allowed the Warriors back into the game and level the scores.

The Bulls regained the lead late in the game, and survived a last-ditch attack from the Warriors to hold on for a 6-point victory.

Bulls coach Lincoln Withers was ecstatic with the win.

"Our forwards have been outstanding for the last month. They've really laid the platform and they're starting to see the benefits from that," Withers said.

"It's been a while for us to be in the finals, so to cement our spot there is good and hopefully in the next couple of weeks we can build up and hit our straps."

Warriors Captain Matt Gafa was left to rue to possession the Warriors gave to the Bulls in the first half.

"They're a good side Gungahlin, they've had some good results all year and it's always a tough game throughout the competition. It doesn't look like it on the ladder, but it doesn't matter who you play, each week it's always a pretty tough game," Gafa said.

"We need to start worrying about ourselves, fix a few things and we should be full of confidence heading into the finals."

Queanbeyan Kangaroos 30 defeated Tuggeranong Bushrangers 14

The Bushrangers put in a spirited effort, however, it wasn't enough to see them get the best of the Kangaroos on the Saturday.

The 30-14 win was the Kangaroos 13th straight, with their only slip-up this season being a Round One blowout loss to the Blues.

Byran Cronan continued his fine try-scoring form of late, notching a double that was matched by his fellow centre Ryan O'Sullivan.

Needing only one win from their final two games, the minor premiership appears almost certain to be heading to the Kangaroos this season.

Yass Magpies 26 defeated Belconnen Sharks 20

The Magpies collected their third win of the season in defeating the Sharks 26-20.

Logan Reis scored a double for the Sharks in the loss, which will likely see them collect the wooden spoon this year.

Woden Valley Rams 34 defeated Goulburn Bulldogs 18

The Rams may now be out of finals contention, but that didn't stop them on Saturday in comfortably accounting for the Bulldogs 34-18.

Joshua Pheeney scored two tries in the Rams seven tries to three performance.
