The Raiders U20's have been defeated 34-26 by the Melbourne Storm at Seiffert Oval on Saturday afternoon.

A double to Jack Murchie and one try to Jarred Tuite gave the Raiders a 16-4 lead at half-time.

Emre Guler opened the scoring early in the second-half to push the Raiders lead out to 18 points. That was the biggest lead the Raiders would enjoy as the Storm started to claw their way back into the game.

Three quick tries to the Storm within a horror ten-minute patch for the Raiders saw the scores locked at 22-22 all with twenty minutes remaining.

A try to Chevi Ellis edged the Raiders back into the lead, but two late tries to the Storm completed their thrilling comeback.

Despite the loss, the Raiders have maintained their eighth place on the ladder, two points ahead of the ninth placed Broncos.

Next up for the Raiders is a huge match against the fourth placed Eels at GIO Stadium next Sunday at 11.45am
