The Canberra Raiders used their last home match of the regular season on Sunday at GIO Stadium to show appreciation to their 15,000 members in 2016.
This year’s membership total is the highest in the clubs history and the Raiders are hoping to build this number towards 20,000 over the coming seasons.
Memberships for 2017 will be on sale in September, so please keep an eye out on www.weareraiders.com.au
Sunday was a chance not only to celebrate the Raiders season with a wonderful 10th home win of the year, the Raiders also took the opportunity to thank members on the day through a number of activations.
Canberra Raiders Chairman Dr Allan Hawke addressed the crowd pre-game and helped present 17 lucky members who had attended every game this season with a match worn and signed Raiders jersey.
These lucky members also had the opportunity to line the tunnel pre-game and help cheer the Raiders onto the field.

It was also the 12th and final time for the season where Raiders junior members were able to take advantage of autograph alley, as they had the opportunity to meet the team as they entered the ground on game day. This initiative has been very successful this season and something the Raiders are proud of introducing to the NRL.
The Raiders members lounge was in full swing, with some wonderful giveaways from Match Day Sponsor McDonalds and Raiders Shop. Members were also involved in the halftime entertainment and the Grand Final of the Huawei High Ball Challenge which saw one lucky member pick up two tickets to the NRL Grand Final.
