Best Match of the Season

Round 22 | Raiders 30 defeated Sharks 14

Clydsdale was right in the thick of it in his second match for the Raiders, playing the final 20 minutes as the Raiders held on for a thrilling victory over the Sharks. Clydsdale kept control of the match, despite the Sharks throwing everything they had at the Raiders in the final stages of the game.

Summary

New recruit Adam Clydsdale had a solid first season at the club, playing four first grade games and leading the Mounties to the ISP minor premiership.

Clydsdale joined the Raiders from the Newcastle Knights for 2016, having played 40 NRL games for the Knights after making his first-grade debut in 2013.

An untimely shoulder injury suffered in the pre-season trial against the Knights derailed Clydsdale's start to the season, eventually returning in Round Five for the Mounties.

A foot injury to Kurt Baptiste opened the door for Clydsdale to become Raider #340 and make his debut against the Warriors in Round 20.

Clydsdale would go on to player three more games for the Raiders, including starting against the Eels in Round 24 when Josh Hodgson was suspended.
