Best Match of the Season

Round 10 | Raiders 12 defeated by Dragons 16

Lee ran riot in the Raiders golden point loss to the Dragons, running for a mammoth 213 metres, offloading three times and making one line break. His try assist for Jarrod Croker also helped Croker break the Raiders all-time leading point-scoring record.

Summary

Injuries played havoc with Edrick Lee's 2016 campaign. The Raiders flying winger started off the season slowly, before hitting top form between Rounds 8 and 12.

He averaged over 160 running metres in each of the five games, and scored a couple of memorable long-range tries. It was during the Raiders Round 12 victory over the Bulldogs that Lee injured his hamstring, putting him out of action for a lengthy period of time.

Upon returning to the field, it was a calf injury that halted Lee's progress, causing him to miss another three matches.

Lee recovered for the final five games of the season, including his first ever finals appearances. A consistent pre-season and a bit more luck with injuries will ensure Lee is back to the top-form Raiders fans know he is capable of in 2017.
