Iron Fist takes on Iron Man on Friday night when the Raiders and Broncos don their superhero jerseys and battle it out at Suncorp Stadium.

Read on for the five things we can't wait to see as both teams search for their second win of the 2017 season.

Breaking the Curse

The Raiders didn't quite live up to superhero status when they wore the Incredible Hulk jersey in 2014 and 2015 - losing both matches.

Many fans were quick to label the Hulk jersey as cursed following the defeats, and the Raiders will be hoping the Iron Fist jersey brings about a change in fortunes.

Friday will be the first time the Broncos participate in the ISC and Marvel themed collaboration.

Wear Them Down

The Broncos haven't been shy in speaking about their game plan to beat the Raiders, with halfback Ben Hunt saying that tiring out the Green Machine's monster forward pack will be key.

"Obviously everyone knows they've got a huge forward pack and the only way you can expose that is to tire them out and keep working through that middle," Hunt said to NRL.com.

"Hopefully a couple of their big boys will get a bit tired and we can expose them a bit."

The tactic will no doubt be attempted by many teams this year, and it does have extra merit considering the Broncos have had two extra days of recovery leading into the match.

Ricky has planned for the Broncos tactic, keeping Shannon Boyd and Luke Bateman to reduced minutes in the victory over the Tigers and also restricting the team to just one training session this week.

Century Milestone

Jarrod Croker returned to the Raiders team last weekend with a bang, collecting a tidy haul of 18-points and making several crucial efforts in defence.

Croker's four-pointer against the Tigers took his career tally to 99 tries and he is a good shot at hitting the century milestone on Friday against the Broncos.

Only two other Raiders players have cracked 100 tries - Jason Croker with 120 tries from 318 games and Brett Mullins with 105 tries from 183 games.

Stay tuned to see if our captain can claim another milestone on Friday night!

Battle of the Backrowers

Josh Papalii and Matt Gillett are two of the best backrowers in the NRL and the tussle between them on Friday night will be a key storyline of the match.

The Raiders enforcer has started the season in tremendous form, dominating Gillett in almost all key stats, including tackle breaks, offloads, running metres, try assists and line breaks.

Queensland Origin and Kangaroos teammates, both players will be looking to make an impression on selectors on Friday, setting the scene for an epic battle.

Prime Time

After an annihilation of the Wests Tigers on free-to-air footy last weekend, the Raiders return to the prime time on Friday night in what is shaping as an entertaining and free-flowing encounter.

There's no better way to start your weekend than watching Green Machine in full flight, so if you can't make it to Suncorp Stadium, stake out a spot in front of the telly and cheer our boys on!
