The Canberra Raiders NYC team have fallen 34-18 to a determined Sea Eagles side at Lottoland this morning.

The Green Machine got off to the perfect start when Mikaele Ravalawa found space to run into and score the opening try of the match and give the Raiders a 6-0 lead.

A smart grubber kick from Lachlan Cooper found Jacob Field who added Canberra’s second try of the match. Conversion was unsuccessful and the Raiders raced out to a 10-0 lead.

Two quick fire tries from Taniela Paseka and Tom Wright put the Sea Eagles level with the Raiders before the latter grabbed his second before half time to give the home side a 16-10 lead heading into the sheds.

The second half started as an arm wrestle until Josh Martin from the Sea Eagles crossed over to further extend the home side’s lead to 20-12.

Taniela Paseka further extended the home side’s lead as he bustled his way over to give Manly a 26-12.

The match was further dampened for the Green Machine when Harry Van Dartel was forced from the field with an ankle injury.

The Sea Eagles strengthened their grip as Jade Anderson crossed over from the wing.

The Raiders pulled a late try back to restore a glimmer of hope but Jade Anderson sealed the win with his second try to give Manly a 34-18 win.
