The Raiders NYC side have been defeated by the Rabbitohs 46-16 at ANZ Stadium this afternoon.

The hosts were off to a great start as they forced a couple of errors from the young Raiders and it eventually paid off with Jalen Reweti crossing over in the corner. Five-Eighth Adam Doueihi converted a difficult kick from out wide to give his side a 6-0 lead.

The Souths winger soon grabbed his double with an almost identical move to his first try. Doueihi slotted another tight conversion and the hosts found themselves 12-0 up with 15 minutes played.

Rabbitohs prop Sam Johnstone crashed over under the posts to give South Sydney an 18-0 lead as the young Raiders tried to regroup after a difficult start.

William Samuel gave the Raiders hope at the end of the first half with a try next to the posts. Andre Niko converted as the young Raiders headed into the sheds trailing 18-6.

The young Raiders got off to the best possible start to the second half when Adam Doueihi had his pass intercepted by Hudson Young who raced away to score. Niko converted from the sideline to pull the score back to 18-12.

Souths soon responded as an error from the kick off by the Raiders led to a try in the corner from Rabbitohs centre Campbell Graham as the home side extended their lead to 22-12.

The Rabbitohs soon scored a stunning try in the corner as Dylan O’Connor grabbed another in the corner after receiving a flick pass from Dean Hawkins. Doueihi converted to send the Rabbitohs to a 28-12 lead.

Souths Prop Jordan Mailata crashed over from under the posts while Campbell Graham added another as the home side cruised out to a 40-12 lead.

A late try to the green machine was soon quashed when Gabe Hamlin raced through for another try under the posts to seal a 46-16 win for the young Rabbitohs.
