Joe Tapine is happy to play anywhere for the green jersey after the young New Zealand international impressed in the second-row on Saturday night against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

"One of the goals for me was to play the full 80 minutes and I was very happy I got to do that and I played alright," Tapine said.

"I was happy to fill in for Josh Papalii, he's an outstanding player and I'm just happy to play wherever for the team."

The young forward was full of praise for Aidan Sezer and Blake Austin after the halves pairing received high praise from coach Ricky Stuart.

"I thought the halves really controlled the game well, they made my job a lot easier with their communication and it really helped us towards the result."
