Raiders lock Elliott Whitehead is hoping that the green machine can keep their momentum going ahead of Sunday's crunch clash against the Panthers at GIO Stadium.

"We've got a lot of confidence over the past couple of games and we have shown what we are capable of so we're looking to continue that this weekend, Whitehead said."

The English international believes that his side are not dwelling too much on the heart breaking loss to the Panthers in Bathurst earlier this season.

"It's a different game this time, we were dissapointed with the way we lost that game and we know that the Panthers will be switched on so we're going to have to keep up our form."

Whitehead has admitted that he's enjoying the switch to lock after Raiders coach Ricky Stuart implemented the change recently which has been reaping great rewards for the side.

"Hopefully I can keep doing the same things that I have been doing over the past few weeks, im not sure what the coach has planned but I'm enjoying it."
