Luke Bateman provided a much needed boost from the interchange for the green machine this year.
The Miles Devils junior was consistent throughout 2017 and provided strong energy for the Raiders when injected into the game from the bench.
Bateman was able to score his first senior NRL try of his career when he crossed over in the Raiders Rd 21 win against the South SYdney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium. The match was arguably Bateman's best for the green machine in 2017.
Averaging 36 minutes per game, Bateman averaged 23 tackles per game which is a solid contribution for any side.
The versatile forward also averaged 68 running metres for the season.
A popular member amongst the playing group, Bateman averaged just under seven hit ups per match as well as seven runs per match.
Bateman will be loooking to build on his solid season for the Raiders in 2018 with the Lock/Second rower only missing two games this year which were in rounds 11 and 13.
