Josh Hodgson is hopeful for selection in the England side as he aims to play in his first Rugby League World Cup.

"We probably had a week off to relax, I spent time with my family but now we're back into training," Hodgson said.

"It's great to have a good group of others who are training alongside you hoping to get selected for their respective countries."

Hodgson is aiming to line up for England alongside Raiders' teammate Elliott Whitehead in what woud be their first world cup.

"Hopefully it will be the first world cup for both of us, it's something you dream of as a kid, we're both very proud Englishman and nothing is a certainty."
