Junior Paulo capped off a stunning year in 2017 when he was awarded the Meninga Medal.

The former Parramatta Eels Prop was enormous for the green machine in 2017. Providing strong runs up the middle.

Paulo displayed his strength and size when he effortlessly bumped off Luke Brooks to race through and offload the ball for Elliott Whitehead for an easy try. That piece of play emphasised Paulo’s contribution to the team rather than seeking individual glory.

In round 6 against the Gold Coast Titans at CBUS Super Stadium, Paulo clocked over 211 running metres whilst providing a try assist in the Raiders crushing 42-16 win.

The 2017 Meninga Medallist didn’t look back as he continued his form throughout the course of the year as he averaged 143 running metres per game. In total, Paulo completed 3283 running metres from 344 runs.

In the Raiders’ last home game of the season against the Knights, Paulo broke his try scoring duck with the opening four points as the green machine signed off from GIO Stadium in 2017 with a 46-28 win.
