Another round of Rugby League World Cup action concluded over the weekend as we head into the quarter finals of the tournament.

There were a number of Raiders involved as the groups were finalised.

On Friday night, Fiji booked their place in the quarter finals at the expense of a Terry Campese inspired Italy at Canberra Stadium. The former Raiders half put on a try assist for Josh Mantellato in the 20th minute.

In New Zealand, Joseph Tapine and Jordan Rapana combined for an early try as the Kiwis were edged out by Tonga in an epic contest.

Both Kato Ottio and Kurt Baptiste featured for the Kumuls as they recorded a massive 64-0 victory over the USA.

Both Elliott Whitehead and Josh Hodgson were rested for England as they defeated France 36-6 in Perth.

Junior Paulo, Josh Papalii and Joey Leilua all started for Samoa as they were held to a 14 all draw against Scotland. Paulo continued his strong form in the World Cup bagging a try.
