It is a common sight for Raiders fans to see Ahearn read the play exquisitely, latch onto an offload and burst off into open pastures. The 2010 ACT Schoolboy representative developed into a brilliant ball distributor playing 5/8 for the Raiders in 2012, creating many opportunities for his teammates. It was at fullback though where Ahearn was most dangerous and he returned to that position as the side progressed to last year’s grand final. Away from the field, Ahearn is an apprentice electrician and enjoys riding motorbikes.
