Goal for 2013: To make the Country Origin side
Since making his debut back in 2009, Shaun Fensom’s worth to the Canberra Raiders is exemplified by his name being inscribed on the Mal Meninga Medal for Player of the Year for 2011 and 2012.
David Furner describes Fensom as the “glue that holds his side together” and whilst his defensive ability is lauded by many (he averaged 43.3 tackles in 2012) his attacking ability is progressing well also.
The inspirational lock was strangely overlooked for representative honours last season and Fensom is aiming to break into the Country Origin side in 2013.
Fensom’s phenomenal work-rate is not just restricted to the playing field with the 24 year old undertaking a building apprenticeship with Raiders NYC Coach Mick Mantelli.
