Goal for 2013: Play semi-finals football
With over 300 career games to his name in both the NRL and English Super League, Shaun Berrigan is one of Canberra’s most experienced stars.
In his first year with the club, Berrigan’s experience proved invaluable to the Raiders throughout 2012, particularly in the club’s miraculous eight wins from 10 games to qualify for the semi-finals, in which he played a vital role.
Berrigan started the year off in the centres but quickly found a home on the interchange bench where he would come on at hooker and lift the tempo of play with his sharp bursts from dummy half and tenacious defence.
The former Clive Churchill Medallist will be in line to play his 250th NRL game in 2013 and aims to guide the Raiders to the semi-finals and beyond.
Despite being one of the more senior members of the squad, Berrigan is renowned for his cheeky quips at teammates and practical jokes.
Berrigan well and truly knows when to knuckle down on the training paddock though and is regarded as one of the fittest in the club.
