Raiders Belconnen
The Raiders Foundation successfully completed significant upgrades to the Raiders Belconnen facility in Kippax ACT ahead of the 2025 Rugby League season.
These upgrades strengthen the venue’s capacity to host high-quality rugby league and support the ongoing development of our community and junior representative programs, enhancing the overall experience for players, officials, and supporters.
A brand-new 6m x 3m LED scoreboard has been installed, supplied by Surevision. The new scoreboard significantly enhances the matchday experience, providing clear, vibrant display of scores, time, game information for players and spectators, and commercial and public advertising. The scoreboard continues to acknowledge notable West Belconnen RLFC & CRRL servant Bob ‘Kinky’ Kincade, ensuring his contribution to the game remains recognised and celebrated at the ground.
Two newly constructed built-in team dugouts have been installed away from spectator seating, these structures provide:
- Enhanced player seating and comfort
- Better weather protection
- Improved team operations and game-day management
Directly behind the dugouts, a shared medical triage room has also been installed. This dedicated treatment space strengthens the venue’s ability to provide timely and professional medical care to participants, improving overall player welfare standards.
A purpose-built broadcast filming deck has been constructed on the northern side of the field, positioned above and behind the triage room. This elevated platform allows for improved match capture and content production. The addition supports greater exposure of local rugby league and enhances opportunities for digital coverage and community engagement.
The “Home Club” changeroom areas have been refreshed and decorated for Raiders Male and Female Junior Representative teams. These enhancements reinforce club identity and pride, ensuring our young athletes feel a strong sense of belonging when representing the ‘Green Machine’.
All of the completed upgrades reflect the Raiders Foundation’s ongoing commitment to investing in community rugby league infrastructure, elevating standards, and creating an environment where players can perform safely and to their maximum potential.
