Although they will be missing the classy services of hooker Kurt Baptiste, Souths Logan Coach Josh Hannay has still been able to name a strong side for the Round 19 clash with Ipswich.

Baptiste has been selected on the interchange bench for the Raiders NRL side for their match against the Gold Coast Titans after his tremendous form for the Magpies this year.

His place in the starting line-up will be taken by fellow Raiders NRL squad member Mitch Cronin.

With Jack Ahearn shifting to Mounties for the remainder of the year, Jordan Rapana has retained his place in the side at fullback after playing the majority of the year on the wing.

Raiders NYC stars Luke Bateman and Patrick Mago will continue with their accelerated development by playing in the Intrust Super Cup again this week. Bateman will enter the fray from the interchange bench while Mago will start the match in the back-row.

The Magpies had the bye last round but they will still have the 38-18 loss to the Wynnum Manly Seagulls fresh on their minds from the week before. Prior to this loss, the eighth placed Souths Logan were on a three match winning streak and they will be looking to regain this form to climb further up the Intrust Super Cup ladder.

Ipswich will provide a stern test for Souths Logan. The Jets are coming fifth on the ladder and will be aiming for their third win in a row. Keep an eye out for Marmin Barba, brother of Ben, who has scored three tries in his last three games.
