ACT Touch football will be holding a Silent Sports Challenge on Tuesday (August 26) at Reconciliation Park in Parkes, to help raise community awareness of deaf sport in the ACT.

The Touch Football event will require participants to play modified touch football games, while wearing ear plugs to simulate the experience of hearing impaired athletes.

The game format will consist of four aside mixed touch football playing 10 minute games. The rules will be modified and participants are not allowed to speak. The referees will also be using flags instead of whistles.

These modified rules will challenge the most experienced touch football player and allow them to participate in a new environment of modified touch.

If you would like to Participate in this great event or have any enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact ACT Touch via email at silentsportschallenge@austouch.com.au
