The Canberra Raiders have been made aware of the incident involving new recruit Josh Hodgson in a Dunedin student flat following the Four Nations Test match on Friday night.

The incident occurred whilst Hodgson was on duty with the English national side and the matter has been dealt with by England’s management.

“We were made aware of the incident that occurred last night around lunchtime today,” England Team Manager Jon Roberts said.

“It is being dealt with internally with the person involved, and they will be disciplined.”

Raiders CE0 Don Furner has been in communication with Hodgson on this issue.

“Josh has said that he is embarrassed by what he has done and he will be spoken to further when he arrives at club headquarters because that sort of behaviour is unacceptable at the Raiders,” Furner said.

The Raiders will be making no further comment on this issue.
