Huawei-sponsored teams the Canberra Raiders [NRL], Gold Coast SUNS [AFL] and Wellington Phoenix [A-League] will come together on the Gold Coast on Tuesday 12 December for a 'Battle of the Codes' and one lucky fan from each club can join in the fun.
Fans can compete with three of their teams’ players by bidding for a place on www.Allbids.com.au All funds raised will go to the 2017 White Christmas Appeal in support of the Gold Coast Community Fund.
Established in early 2000 the fund raises money through regular fundraising creating a central pool of money for distribution to Gold Coast charities, community organisations and individuals in emergency need.
Huawei Corporate Relations and Programs Manager Lisa Connors said as a long-term sponsor of all three clubs it was great to finally bring them together for a good cause.
“Huawei is thrilled to bring fans and players together to have some fun and raise money for those in need,” Ms Connors said.
“The Fan who raises the most money through the auction will ensure their team starts the competition with a 3 point lead, so we encourage fans to get online and bid for the opportunity to spend a day with their heroes.”
