Junior Representatives: Week 1 Finals Wrap

The Canberra Raiders S.G. Ball Cup side are through to the next round, while the Tarsha Gale Cup side saw their season come to an end.

The Canberra Raiders Tarsha Gale Cup side saw their season come to end with a 48-4 defeat against the Parramatta Eels.

The Eels proved too strong for the Raiders as they scored nine tries with four players scoring doubles.

Taysha-Lee Campbell scored the sole try for the Raiders during the finals week one fixture but it wasn’t enough as the Eels progressed to the next week of finals.

Canberra Raiders 34 (Tries: Jack Williams 2, J Tupou 2, A Gaffey, M Kaho; B Robertson 5) d Balmain Tigers 10 (Tries: Z Wilkins, D Sykes; Goals: J Rizk)

The Canberra Raiders have moved into the second week of finals after claiming a 24 point win against the Balmain Tigers.

Jack Williams and Junior Tupou both scored doubles for the Green Machine as the side showed their improvement over the course of the season having previously lost to the Tigers 44-16 in Round 2.

Fullback Manase Kaho continued his try scoring form while Aidan Gaffey also was amongst the try scorers.

The Raiders will now play the Central Coast Roosters on Friday afternoon in the second week of finals.
