New South Wales Rugby League is proud to announce Terry Rowney, Peter Mullholland and Steve Ghosn as new Life Members of the NSWRL for their outstanding service to the game over the last 40 years.

“NSWRL would like to congratulate Terry, Peter and Steve for their contribution to the game of Rugby League in NSW and we thank them for their continued dedication and support,” NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden said.

Rowney played for St Johns Lakemba in the late 1960s and from 1981 to the present, he has been the Director, sponsor and a leading figure at the Newtown Jets.

"To receive this membership is unbelievable," Rowney said.

"On behalf of my football club, Newtown Jets, that provided me the opportunity to do something for the game I just love to bits."

Mulholland had an extensive 17-year playing history starting at Camden Rams in 1964. He went on to coach Western Suburbs in 1988, guiding teams such as the Western Reds, North Sydney Bears in Reserve Grade, was Assistant coach at Penrith for three years and at present holds multiple recruitment / development roles at the club.

"It was very humbling to receive life membership from the NSWRL," Mulholland said.

"It's a culmination of a long time in the game professionally and way before then. To be recognised by the board and the members of the community it's quite humbling and I'm very appreciative of it."

Ghosn began playing Rugby League for Lidcombe A Grade in 1980, who progressed through as undefeated premiers. For the next 37 years, Ghosn steered a host of teams to premierships and finals berths including Mounties in the NSW Cup, Guildford Ows in the Metropolitan Cup and most recently, the Parramatta Police Rugby League in the NSW Police Rugby League in 2017.
