Canberra Region Wheelchair Rugby League (CRWRL) is set to commence this weekend at the Queanbeyan Indoor Sports Centre, with Round One action underway on Sunday.
After three successful Come & Try Days, the season proper is set to start with players eager to start competition.
One team to keep an eye out for is the team comprised of players who are from Wagga Wagga and Griffith.
With a strong background in Wheelchair Basketball, they have already shown that they will be major threats to the competition.
Anticipation has been building since February this year, with organisers relieved to see competition start after some setbacks.
Plans to commence the series in 2020 were unfortunately shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
CRWRL looks to be recognized as an all-inclusive sport for all players regardless of age, gender, or ability.
The game can be played by anyone, including regular wheelchair users and those who are able bodied.
There is still time to register for anyone interested, with $100 registration fee covering both the Autumn and Spring competitions.
