Goulburn City Bulldogs 16 defeat Tuggeranong Bushrangers 10
The Goulburn City Bulldogs secured a tight six point victory over the Tuggeranong Bushrangers away from home to secure their fourth win of the season.
In a close affair, points were at a premium with a win critical for either side as the loss for Tuggeranong now means they have an incredible mountain to climb in their quest to play finals.
The Bulldogs relied on a group effort to ensure they claimed the two points, with Thomas Harmer, Bailey Sassall and Dillion Rota crossing for four pointers.
Tuggeranong will be looking to bounce back next week against the Gungahlin Bulls, meanwhile the Bulldogs will aim for back to back wins when they face the Belconnen United Sharks.
Gungahlin Bulls 22 defeat West Belconnen Warriors 12
The Gungahlin Bulls defended their home field with a strong victory over the West Belconnen Warriors on Saturday afternoon.
Courtesy of a Jesse Croker double, the Bulls were able to establish a strong enough advantage which ensured they walked away with their second win of the season.
For the Warriors, the loss sees them remain outside of the top four unable to take advantage of their cross town rivals having the weekend off.
The Bulls will bounce into Round 14 with plenty of confidence and will travel to Tuggeranong to take on the Bushrangers, whilst the Warriors welcome a strong Kangaroos outfit coming off a win against the ladder leaders.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos 20 defeat Woden Valley Rams 12
The Queanbeyan Kangaroos flexed their premiership muscle in a physical contest against the Woden Valley Rams at Phillip Oval.
Lachlan Bristow was the best for the Kangaroos, transitioning into the number nine role in the first half and changing the angle of attack which proved critical.
Despite a Daine Spencer long range effort which brought the old boys crowd to their feet bringing the Rams within six points, the physicality of the Kangaroos outfit proved instrumental in ensuring they left with the two points.
The Kangaroos will be looking to maintain their form and push for a top two finish when they travel to Raiders Belconnen to face the West Belconnen Warriors.
Meanwhile, the Rams will prepare themselves for a showdown against the Queanbeyan Blues with the winner ascending to the top of the Canberra Raiders Cup ladder.
Queanbeyan Blues 60 defeat Yass Magpies 10
The Queanbeyan Blues secured a comprehensive fifty point victory over the Yass Magpies in a win which sees the Blues top of the competition ladder.
The reputation of the Blues as the number one attacking side continued this weekend with second rower Joshua Billing crossing the try line on three occasions, whilst Pokoney and Harrison both secured try scoring doubles.
Despite tries from Ranapiri Baker and Ryan Greig, the loss for the Magpies sees them return to the bottom of the ladder with the bye arriving at an opportune time to reset for the remaining part of the season.
The Queanbeyan Blues will travel to Phillip Oval for a blockbuster clash against the Woden Valley Rams in a game which is building as the game of the season, with first place the prize for the winner.
