NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 23 Preview

The Raiders NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg squads will travel up the Hume to take on the St George Illawarra Dragons in season-defining clashes this Saturday.

Knock-On Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup side are aiming for four in a row as they look to make a late finals push for the top five.

Fresh off their biggest win of the season, the wet weather didn't scare the Raiders as they wracked up a huge 58-18 victory over the Magpies.

They face a consistent Dragons side who currently sit second and have their eyes set on a top two finish.

The last time these sides met, the Saints comeback from a halftime deficit to defeat the Raiders 36-28 at Seiffert Oval.

Canberra currently sit in seventh on the ladder and are four points outside the top five with four weeks remaining til finals.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders will be looking to snap a two-match losing streak when they face the Dragons on Saturday morning.

Canberra have hit a form slump in the back end of the season which has seen the Green Machine drop to fourth on the ladder.

The Raiders defeated the Dragons 38-28 back in round 12 and will be looking to replicate that this weekend as they look to carry some important form into the finals series.

The top four on the ladder remains tight, with only four points separating them as Canberra look to push for back-to-back minor premierships.
