In 2025, the Canberra Raiders delivered a season that inspired passion on the field and pride off it. A season that began in Las Vegas at the start of March, ultimately led to local benefit and propensity.
Nielsen research indicated that Raiders NRL and NRLW matches alone contributed more than $27M stimulus to the local economy, more than 50% coming from interstate and overseas visitors.
Alongside the action at GIO Stadium Canberra, the club commissioned Nielsen Sports to capture the full economic and community impact of NRL and NRLW matches played in Canberra (excluding finals).
What followed was a wave of positive results from the 2025 end-of-season survey, painting a powerful picture of the Raiders’ growing influence across the region, confirming the Clubs status as the #1 representative team of the region.

Overall Club Satisfaction Hits Five-Year High
Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a customer loyalty metric that measures a customer's likelihood of recommending a company or experience to others and a score of 50, is considered excellent.
The Raiders’ NPS jumped 19% points to 64 in 2025, marking the highest score recorded since 2020.
Fans also reported the strongest “better than expected” result seen across the past nine years.
Community Spirit Remains Strong
The Raiders continue to be a unifying force in the region, with 97% of fans stating the club enhances community spirit, pride, and enjoyment. This reinforces the team's role as more than a sporting organisation; they’re a community pillar.
Membership at the Heart of Attendance
When it comes to why fans attend games, membership matters:
- 79% attend because they are Raiders members or dedicated fans
- 9% attend as general rugby league fans
This highlights the importance of the club’s passionate and loyal supporter base.

Off field components at Raiders matches, things like the iconic Viking Clap and the 50/50 charity raffle that generated more than $175K in the last season, are symbolic of the Clubs commitment to engage and support the community.
The Raiders have worked incredibly hard in the post-Covid era to highlight their ‘family friendly’ match days, with attractions for all ages, and it is obvious to see their heightened commitment to Club Members each and every game day.
