The Canberra Raiders are looking for motivated and committed students to join the club in a variety of areas across the organisation through their 2024 Internship Program.

Who do we want?

We’re looking for people from diverse backgrounds who are enthusiastic to be part of the ever-evolving commercial sporting industry.

Desired applicants will have:

• A strong work ethic and display professionalism
• An enthusiastic approach to tasks
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Great attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management skills
• Availability and be willing to work flexible hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays as required)

What will interns’ roles be?

We will be recruiting for the following areas:

• Hospitality & Events
• Media and Communications
• Membership & Ticketing

Eligible applicants should be:

Studying a sports, business or related degree to the desired area of internship (*Please note, some internships are only accepting applications from specific undergraduate degrees. Please see individual adverts for further details).
A citizen of, or hold permanent residency in, Australia.

Volunteer at the Raiders 

2024 Applications are now closed.

The Canberra Raiders share a special bond with the Canberra and Regional Community by bringing NRL to the nation’s capital. GIO Stadium will hosts 13 Raiders home games this year with many hours off hard work going into the preparation of these games.

We need our valuable volunteers to support the Green Machine on game days through customer service and operational assistance.

What the Raiders are looking for:

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• A ‘can-do’ and friendly attitude
• Willingness to work in teams and independently
• Any customer service experience highly regarded
• Working with vulnerable people card (compulsory)

What the Raiders can give you:

• Experience working with the capitals largest sporting organisation
• Local engagement with your community
• 2024 Raiders Membership
• Parking passes for all GIO Stadium home games
• Food and beverage voucher on game days
• Raiders uniform
• Other benefits dependent on contribution

Applications from university/ CIT students, and those seeking work experience in sports are strongly encouraged. Raiders are able to provide references and other paperwork to help include this opportunity as part of your studies. We also consider transitions for students from the volunteer program into our internship programs.
