On-field success is critical and starts with our development pathways. We must provide young athletes and support staff in the region with the same opportunities as their big city counterparts. We can do this by giving them access to the best resources and facilities possible.

We must keep pace with the rest of the competition and continue to lead with innovation, growth and opportunity.

When the Raiders won their maiden premiership back in1989 it was said the victory “gave Canberra a soul”. Our vision is to establish ourselves forever in the heart of Canberra at Northbourne Oval.

Furner, Barr and Barilaro officially unveil Raiders Huawei Centre

The redevelopment of our ‘spiritual home’ into a state-of-the-art high performance and training venue is the first important step in making this vision a reality.

We want to showcase our history, service the current generation and inspire the future

The Raiders Centre is a best practice facility, The Centre includes training and administration facilities for the Raiders, as well as facilities for local communities, schools, sporting clubs and various other community groups. The Raiders Centre enables the Raiders to keep up with best practice (national and international) trends in high performance training and assist in attracting and retaining key talent (players and staff) to the Club.

The Raiders Centre delivers:

  • Rehabilitation, sports medicine, nutrition and meal preparation
  • Indoor training spaces focused on providing optimum conditions for skills and tactical sessions as well as local sports programming and competitions
  • Access to multiple fields of play, including both natural and artificial turf surfaces, that can be used for elite training, academy programs and community sport
  • Create flexible areas that can serve multiple purposes i.e. cross training, rehabilitation, interactive coaching as well as community programs
