Raiders calling on support in membership battle

The 2014 NRL membership race is entering the critical rounds, and Raiders Captain Terry Campese is calling on the Raiders supporters to pledge their support and sign up for a membership ahead of the start of the NRL season on March 6.

Campese said the Raiders have worked hard on the training paddock all pre-season and has issued a challenge to Raiders faithful to get behind the team to lift the Green Machine off the bottom rung of the current Membership standings.

“There’s just over a week to go now before we start our trials with the match against the Storm and we would love to see a big increase in membership before we run out in Melbourne next weekend,” Campese said. “We’re excited about the year ahead and need all the support we can get, so I’m asking fans to get behind the team and sign up for a membership.”

The Raiders are calling on their supporters to help the club continue their push for more members in 2014, after the NRL yesterday released the current membership numbers for the 16 clubs.

The Raiders are currently trailing their comparative membership number from last year by 710 members, but with three game and five game memberships only recently becoming available the club is confident they can reach and surpass last year’s final number of 8,898.

Raiders membership is more affordable than ever before, with many different package options at great prices. Campese reminded fans how much value membership is.

“Membership is the cheapest way to get to the game, simple as that,” Campese said. “The new packages are designed to get as many people through the gates as we can and we want big crowds.”
