The North Queensland Cowboys have defeated the Raiders 24-0 in the Raiders second match of the Auckland Nines tournament.

The Raiders had the opening chance of the match when they attacked the Cowboys line, but a last pass error turned the ball over and the score remained 0-0 after 2min.

The next minute later the Cowboys scored the first points through a penalty try, when Jarrad Kennedy took out a Cowboys player. Kyle Feldt converted for a 7-0 lead.

Another turnover saw the Cowboys Capitalise again this time through Ray Thompson and when Feldt converted it was 13-0 to North Queensland.

A try to Kane Linnett extended the Cowboys lead in the first half as the Cowboys took a 17-0 lead into halftime. That lead was extended three minutes into the second half when Javid Bowen scored and Feldts conversion saw the Cowboys hold onto the 24-0 lead until fulltime.

The Raiders had their chances in the match, but some errors and ball control cost them the chance to get a roll on.

The Raiders will now play their final match of the tournament on Sunday against manly.
