Mounties v Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium on Sunday at 4:15pm

New recruit Mosese Pangai will make his first appearance for Mounties this Sunday as the Raiders feeder side takes on the Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium.

Mosese, the eldest of the Pangai brothers, is a powerful outside back who was impressive in the Raiders trial against the Melbourne Storm where he scored a fine try.

After missing the opening match of the year in which Mounties smashed Manly 50-10, Mosese is striving to deliver a top quality performance.

The 22 year old will look to emulate the feats of fellow Raiders outside backs Jeremy Hawkins, Sami Sauiluma and Bill Tupou who all crossed for tries in Mounties stellar victory over Manly.

Newcastle also recorded a first round victory, defeating the Penrith Panthers 24-14 and will prove to be worthy adversaries for Mounties.

With the fixture to be played before the Raiders NRL match, the 10 contracted Raiders players will look to put in a big effort with both grades (NRL and NYC) watching on.
