The Canberra Raiders will be getting into the spirit of Easter this weekend, when they take on the Melbourne Storm at GIO Stadium in Sunday afternoon footy.
Match day Sponsor DHA will be providing a huge range of activities on the day, including Easter Egg Giveaways in the forecourt, a sponge throwing competition where fans have the chance to test their aim against a Raider and a huge Egg and Spoon race at halftime.
It’s also one of the final times fans will have the opportunity to grab one of the limited edition DHA Raiders beanies at a Raiders game day, with the first patrons at the ground on Sunday having the chance to get their hands on one.
Fans are encouraged to check-in ahead of the weekend’s game through www.huaweiraidersbestseats.com for the chance to be upgraded into the Huawei Legends Lounge. Two people will be selected on Good Friday to bring a couple of friends along and sit in the best seats in the house, receive some free food and soft drinks and have the chance to meet Raiders Legend Alan Tongue.
Sunday’s match will be broadcast on delay on Channel Nine, so fans are reminded the only place to see the Raiders LIVE this weekend will be at GIO Stadium. Gates open at 12.30pm, with the NYC (Raiders and Storm) at 12.45pm and NRL match (Raiders v Storm) at 3.00pm.
The Raiders encourage all of their supporters to dress up in their best Green Raiders gear and show the NRL and viewers at home the passion of the Raiders home crowd. Jersey’s Megastore will also be running a best banner competition on the day with a chance to win a $100 voucher at their store if your banner is selected.
There will be other give-aways on the day including the Member’s Wave for a Waves promotion to win a free car wash.
Member’s will continue to benefit from joining the Raiders Family in 2014 with 10% discounts on merchandise at the Jersey’s Megastore outlets at the ground and a 10% discount on food thanks to GEMA catering when they present their membership cards at the food outlets.
Member’s will also receive the Green Carpet experience as they enter the Stadium through their own special entry points and can see their names on the membership honour board in the Western forecourt.
You can join up to become a Raiders member on the day at the membership marquee in the Western Forecourt (simply purchase a game day ticket and then present it for a discount) or you can sign up in advance at www.weareraiders.com.au
Game Day tickets are also at their lowest price point in a number of seasons, so pre-purchase at www.ticketek.com.au to save even more on admission prices, with Tickets starting from $12.50 for Juniors, $15 for Concessions, $20 per Adult or $60 per family.
After the match this week the Raiders will be heading back to Raiders Belconnen (152 Hardwick Crescent, Holt) for a post-match meet and great with supporters. The NRL squad will arrive at around 6.30pm.
