The Canberra Raiders celebrated the NRL's Women in League Round last Sunday afternoon against the Penrith Panthers.

The game-wide initiative was dedicated to recognising the genuine and ongoing essential role that women play in Rugby League, from female players, members, supporters, mums, partners, volunteers, cheer squad members and administrators - to directors, office staff, fitness trainers, referees and officials.

The event coincided with the Raiders Club 82 Function and saw over 120 people join MC Bronwyn Fagan and guest speaker Rachel Friend in festivities on the day, who discussed here role in Media & Communications and the benefits and potential pitfalls of Social Media.

The event also had some fun, with questions from Sarah Campese directed in a perfect partners style Q &A with Tom and Amber Learoyd-Lahrs which entertained the crowd.

Guests were treated to Nail and Massage Pamper stations from Zaija as well as plenty of free gifts to take home in their gift bags.
