Souths Logan Magpies v Wynumm Manly Seagulls on Sunday at 3:00pm at BMD Kougari Oval

Souths Logan Magpies Coach Josh Hannay has named his side for the Round 18 clash with the Wynumm Manly Seagulls on Sunday at 3:00pm at BMD Kougari Oval.

Hannay has been able to name a similar side to the one that defeated the Redcliffe Dolphins 30-20 last week, although the line-up features a new look centre pairing of Dallas Anderson and Tim Brooks with Grante Cooke out and Brenko Lee named in the Raiders NRL team.

This match shapes as a pivotal one for the Magpies who are sitting just two points outside of the eight in ninth position.

Souths Logan will need five-eighth Phil Dennis and hooker Kurt Baptiste to again fire for them after the pair starred in the win over Redcliffe last weekend with Dennis registering a double and Baptiste a constant threat around the ruck area.

Wynumm Manly will prove a huge challenge for Souths Logan, but one which they are capable of overcoming.

The Seagulls are coming third on the ladder and are the best attacking team and the third best defensive side in the competition statistically.

The Magpies will need to keep a close eye on fullback Daniel Odgen who scored a hat-trick of tries in the Seagulls' 38-10 win over the Sunshine Coast Falcons last week.

With both sides are coming off back-to-back wins, the match should be a vastly entertaining and tightly fought affair.

The full Souths Logan team is:

1 JORDAN RAPANA
