Souths Logan Magpies v Northern Pride on Saturday at 7:00pm at Davies Park, Mareeba

Souths Logan will be forced to take on the Northern Pride without one of their best players after Jordan Rapana was selected for the Canberra Raiders NRL side.

Rapana has been electric at fullback for the Magpies in 2014 and as a result of his form, an injury to Terry Campese and the subsequent positional shift of Anthony Milford, he has been given the Raiders number one jersey by Ricky Stuart for the side's clash with the Eels.

In Rapana's place for the Magpies clash with the top of the table Pride is Ihaka Watene.

Souths Logan, who is coming eighth on the ladder, will face a stiff challenge from the Northern Pride and will require Raiders squad members such as Luke Bateman, Mitch Cronin, Patrick Mago and Luke Page to lift significantly.

And the quartet will need to given that the Pride has won their last ten matches straight.

Despite this, the Magpies can take confidence from the fact that when the two sides last met, back in Round 9, the Pride only just scraped home 24-22.

The full team line-up is:
