Souths Logan Magpies v Burleigh Bears on Saturday at 3:00pm at Pizzey Park

Souths Logan Magpies Coach Josh Hannay has named a strong side for the Round 24 clash with the Burleigh Bears on Saturday at 3:00pm at Pizzey Park.

The Magpies have an opportunity to leapfrog the Bears into eighth spot on the Intrust Super Cup ladder with a victory away from home. Both sides are coming off back-to-back losses and will be primed for a return to the winner's circle.

Prop forward Luke Page will be especially fired up for the match given it is against his old club. No doubt he will want to snare bragging rights over his former team mates.

So too will former Raiders winger Dimitri Pelo who will be playing hooker for Burleigh. Along with Pelo, Souths Logan will need to keep an eye on former NRL centre Steve Michaels and try scoring whiz Henare Wells at fullback.

Despite being one place below them on the ladder, the Magpies can head into the match with confidence knowing that they defeated the Bears 28-26 in Round 3.
